Kritters Thoughts:  Cami and Anna were friends in high school and both have returned home for different reasons and will both have to confront drama from the past that never really was resolved.  Cami returns home to a father who is still an alcoholic and is acting very strange.  Anna returns to a mother who is dealing with her own set of problems and Anna has a set of her own that she is avoiding!  

I fell in love with every character in this book.  They each had unique authentic stories that were each just so interesting and compelling.  I read this book in just two sittings because I couldn't put it down because the characters made me want to just keep reading and reading!  I wanted to know where they were going and what they were doing and it took everything in me to stop and do something on my to do list while reading this book.  

With a large cast of characters with parents and siblings and friends and such, I highly suggest taking a few notes when starting this book.  It isn't that hard once you have a visual on who belongs to whom, but for me this helped throughout the book and if you read book two right after (which I did and will be reviewing later) you can just use the notes for that book also.  

I have now read half of Kristina Riggle's books and all are rated four or five stars.  I want to make it a mission to catch up in 2020 and finish the other three that I haven't read because each time I pick up her book, I get swept into characters and plots that feel so real and refreshing.


Rating: absolutely loved it and want a sequel
