2019 Reading and Challenges Wrap Up

source
Just like last year, I wanted to take one post and just do a recap of 2019!  I did this exact post last year and the year before and loved seeing it throughout the years.  This year I will compare 2019 to 2018, let's go!

Total number of books I read in 2018: 225
Total number of books I read in 2019: 170
Total number of pages I flipped, clicked, and so on in 2018: 74,740
Total number of pages I flipped, clicked, and so on in 2019: 55,197

To recap, 2019 was a hard year.  My work interrupted my weekends and my reading a lot, so my counts were low for quite a few months.  I am hoping that 2020 is better and maybe will set me off on a great foot for this new decade.

I have been keeping track of WHERE my books were taking place all year. Below is the outcome.  There are 18 states that I didn't "visit," which is worse than last year and the year before, so need to make an effort to "travel" the states a little more this next year!  I want to see if I can visit the states that I have never read in and start there for 2020.

States that didn't make the list:
Maine                        Indiana                  Kansas            Wyoming
New Jersey                Iowa                     Oklahoma        Nevada
West Virginia             North Dakota        New Mexico      Arizona
Georgia                     South Dakota         Utah
Arkansas                   Nebraska               Montana

My country number went down from 17 to 8 this year, so I need to travel more this next year and make an effort to visit places abroad.

Countries accounted for:
England                  Australia
France                    Russia
Korea                      Scotland
Canada                   Poland

As far as the Ebook Challenge is concerned, I challenged myself to 100 ebooks and finished 69 this year.  Since my reading was low overall, I wasn't surprised by this number being below.  I have hopes for next year, if my overall number goes up, I would love to meet my 100 goal in 2020.
