Goodreads:  How far would you go for your best friend?

Just because you’d give your best friend everything
doesn’t mean she has to take it.

On the heels of a divorce while juggling the demands of life-coaching L.A.’s craziest families, all Danielle Meyers wants is a vacation with her sassy, Southern, life-long best friend, Smidge—complete with umbrella cocktails by an infinity pool. But it turns out Smidge’s plans involve neither cruise ships nor piña coladas: she’s got an itinerary set for the rest of her life, one that is quickly and unfairly coming to an end.

Kritters Thoughts:  Two friends are headed on an annual trip that will forever change the course of their friendship because one is battling cancer for the second time and the outcome doesn't look to be so positive.  The friend that is counting her days will ask the ultimate question of both her friends and eventually her family, to say goodbye swiftly.

Without ruining the premise of the entire book, I will have to share my favorite part of this book - the way it was presented.  Danielle Meyers (the ultimate best friend) is writing this book, or extremely long letter, to the daughter of her deceased best friend about their last trip and moments together.  It was perfectly unique to share this story in this manner, I felt like I was able to get a personal connection to both Danielle and the daughter Jenny by the author writing the book this way.  We, the readers, almost invade Danielle's privacy by reading the book.

Warning - I completely lost it at the end of the book, in a good way, they were pure tears that don't come often to me when reading books.  This book touched my heart on a whole nother level, from being a daughter to being a friend this can touch many different readers right in their soul.

Rating: absolutely loved it and want a sequel
